AquaBond® Wet-Niche Potting Compound AB-1000 is a “listed” product that meets NEC requirements to allow the use of rigid nonmetallic conduit in the installation of wet-niche underwater lighting fixtures in swimming pools, spas, fountains and water features. AquaBond’s wet niche potting compound provides protection against corrosion and possible deteriorating effects of pool water by reliably encapsulating the 8 AWG ground connection in a wet-niche shell. The wet niche forming shell is a corrosion-resistant housing for underwater fixtures in permanently installed pools.

AB-1000 and ABP-1000 Potting Compounds are a thixotropic resins that will not sag or drip. The encapsulated connection gels in minutes and can be submerged within four hours.

Each AB-1000 50ml, multi-use cartridge contains enough material to do five to eight light niche fixtures, while one ABP-1000, single-use pouch contains enough material to complete several fixture.
